This roller coaster ride of dislike

I put up a good front,
But,

The voice in my head,
Was like mockery,

An instant flame to hate,
In a blink,

These emotions so often felled,
Yet again,
A waste of time and effort and thought,

Just confusion,
Annoyance,
Why?
